• Dr Zhivago was portrayed by Mark Hasart, who was a junior at BGHS.
• Corkey Hasart drove the float & it was escorted by Fire Chief Bob Bertsch and his wife Thelma.
• "Laura", the girl in the film of Dr. Zhivago, was portrayed by Debi Slawson.
• The 2 cossack drivers were faithful Battle Ground float volunteers, Tom Hasart & Travis Rosenbaum.
• Mr. Jim Holden's floriculture class cleaned & seperated over 30,000 flowers.
• Saturday, after the parade, the float & band made a "sweep" through Battle Ground, marching & playing for entertainment.
• For the first time, the float base was spray painted in colors before the flowers were applied to prevent bare spots as the flowers dried & shrank.
