A beautiful baby grand piano covered in black Nyger Thistle rotated atop a pedestal & large animated keys flowed down the length of the float.
-
Steve Streissguth completed the grand piano that rode and rotated on the very top of the float, in just 3 days at his home.
-
Meandering "musical notes ran down the front of the float and moved to the music created by Rich Rubin".
-
Steve Streissguth, Darrell McClellan, & LeRoy Heyler escorted and danced beside the float "in grand style".
-
LeRoy danced throughout the whole parade.
-
The group standing around waiting for the judging, were trying their best to be very quiet and somber until the judges asked if they could dance. The boys said "sure" and removed their top hats, bowed & then broke into a tap, shuffle, & jazz dance. The judges started laughing & turned to the last minute decorators with a thumbs up. Everyone who had been watching started cheering & applauding the dancing trio.
-
On the street, people from Battle Ground were screaming and crying with lots of shared hugs.
