  Fun Facts

  • There were over 6,000 stems of flowers used on the float. 2,875 of which were roses.
  • The tip top of the gazebo was a flax seed covered Basketball.
  • Our very experienced driver navigated the float with the use of two mounted cameras which went out before the end of the parade. He then had to rely on the guides who talked with two way radios to him, "left, left, more left". There were only a few people in the crowds that got a bit concerned when the "more left" wasn't fast enough.
  • Two other floats had mechanical problems and had to be towed through the parade route and one 1959 convertible had to be pushed to get started.
  • Floral: Marilyn Moeser of Battle Ground's Main Street Floral Co.

  • Drivers: Fred Cavazos and Shawn Cunningham
  • Guides: Steve Streissguth, Don Brown, and LeRoy Helyer
